I'd never heard of Keith Haring, but I'd loved Basquiat ever since I heard of him in the 1990's. Not only was it a great friendship, they collaborated a lot. A straight, black male and a white, gay male. That's what I love about art. It brings humans from all different walks of life together. The exhibition included an entire room of polaroids by Maripol. If I could be alive, with a camera, in a scene and time and place, it would be this. NYC 1980's. Such creativity in the art & music scene.
