I was going to save pictures off and post, but there is too many and varied. I wanted you to plough through on your own and enjoy it, subjectively. I have been taking portraits for 5 years now and entering portraits in this prize, HeadOn and National Portrait Prize, unsuccessfully. The later two, I always compare 1 or more of my entries to 2 or 3 finalists and ask 'why?'. Although this competition, I never ask. All images are compelling in some way and the series' have a greater meaning once you pore into it. Please pore into it.
